Overview

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has released a planning layout for the Stapylton-Jacobs Well Road (SJWR) upgrade. Improvements being considered for the SJWR upgrade will improve connectivity and support the growth of the Gold Coast’s leading industrial precinct. The planning will investigate options for additional lanes (2 to 4 lanes), intersection upgrades, and active transport improvements.

These upgrades will provide critical connections to the future stages of the Coomera Connector and will contribute to a safe, efficient and effective transport network to meet the current and future needs of the local community.

This planning also takes into consideration reference designs for the Exit 38 interchange.

TMR is liaising with directly impacted residents and businesses during the consultation phase and invites the community to have their say on the proposed planning layout.
