Overview

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is undertaking planning on several roads from Maroochydore to Peregian Springs. This combination of roads is called Maroochydore-Noosa Road and stretches for 28km as a 2-lane 2-way road, used by up to 15,000 vehicles per day:

  • Beach Road
  • Duporth Avenue
  • Bradman Avenue
  • David Low Way
  • Bli Bli Bridge (formally known as David Low Bridge)
  • Jubilee Esplanade
  • Coolum Esplanade.

Planning is looking at long-term options to improve network capacity, safety, and active transport facilities over the next 20 years. It aims to identify priorities for consideration of future funding, along with developing a preferred vision for the route.

TMR understands the community's desire for improved infrastructure along the Maroochydore-Noosa Road route and in particular, the Bli Bli Bridge and pedestrian and bike facilities along Bradman Avenue.

TMR sought feedback from the community about how they currently use this road network.

Community consultation closed on 7 November 2022.
